The big 3

I can't believe Amelia is 3. This is the magical age when they just seem so much older and begin to grow up so quickly. The other day she taught herself how to swing alone without any help. I'd have to say Mela is a little fireball and can hold her own very well. But, much to chagrin, she is girly--yes girly and it's very hard for me to accept. My mom made this cake for her and when I saw it I realized my kids will never ask me to make them another cake again. Needless to say the cake was a hit in the eyes of a dreamy 3 year old. I didn't have the time to plan much for her birthday so we went to the Marbles Museum in Raleigh. They were having a Magic School Bus exhibit and I knew that would be highly welcomed.
A happy 3 year old girl that we love.

I'm so proud of this picture! Pin It

I know you love that cake and I bet you are inconspicuously making one for yourself right now. You won't eat it though. . . it will just sit in a forgotten-by-everyone-else closet where you will go and hold it every now and then, wishing it was you in the pink frufru dress. :)

And of course I can't forget to comment on that lovely cake! Goodness, is your mother part elf? How did she make such a perfect cake? Is the doll's dress frosting? Wow, amazing...
